Lakshmipur Alor Dishari Protibondhi Sangstha is a dedicated Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) operating in the Lakshmipur district of Bangladesh. Founded on January 17, 2008, by local disability advocates, our organization began with the participation of 484 individuals with disabilities. Today, we are proud to have 27 active members, comprising 15 men and 12 women, reflecting our commitment to gender equality and inclusive participation.

Our governance structure includes a General Committee with 27 members and an Executive Committee of 9 members, all guided by the vision and leadership of our General Secretary/Executive Director. Our activities are carried out by a mix of staff and volunteers, who diligently implement our mission following organizational bylaws.

At Lakshmipur Alor Dishari Protibondhi Sangstha, we are dedicated to advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities and enhancing their quality of life through partnerships with both government and non-government organizations. We actively pursue integration with mainstream organizations to promote Disability Inclusion in their programs. This is achieved by ensuring meaningful involvement of persons with disabilities and providing essential capacity building and technical assistance to enhance their participation.
